HTCDT stands for
High
We aim for the highest standards of service that we can offer in a friendly environment, so that all the residents from the youngest to the oldest know that they are welcome, and they will be respected.
Trees
Our motto is "from little acorns giant oaks do grow". We would like to think that we can help people to reach their full potential, so that their life is more rewarding and they have confidence in their own value within a caring community.
Community.
St Martin's Estate and the surrounding neighbourhood is full of different communities that overlap with each other. This doesn't always make for a peaceful life, but when we talk to each other, and try to understand each other's point of view, it opens up the possibilities of change for the better.
Development
As we build more projects that draw people together, the spirit of the community we live in grows stronger. HTCDT is part of the network of activities working to develop more opportunities for people to find out what they are good at, and to make sure people have more options in life.
Trust
HTCDT is a registered charity with a board of 9 Trustees, 5 of them residents of St Martin's . We are able to apply for funding from different sources to help pay for projects. The work done by volunteers is our most valuable asset, and without it the projects would not be successful.
