Barclays Eagle Labs visited Tulse Hill Adventure Playground yesterday to facilitate a Digital Eagles workshop for young people taking part in our summer programme.
They started the day with a session on Scanning – editing and 3D printing their very own avatars to keep. As part of the process, the young people learnt all the steps to turn themselves from a physical body into a digital file and then to print this on one of the 3D printers back at the Lab.
Later was a Micro Bit session – introducing the young people to the micro:bit. This involved learning to code using a single board computer, and having fun with physical computing using LED lights and noisy buzzers.
The young people had a fantastic time and it was the first time most of them had a chance to do anything like this – they can’t wait for the next visit! A huge thank you to the team at Barclays Eagle Labs!
