Post title: Employment, Education and Training Manager
Salary: £32,000- £36,000
Hours: 35 hours per week (5 days)
Closing date: 11.30pm on 14th June
Interview Date: 19th June
High Trees Community Development Trust is a community anchor charity based in Tulse Hill in Lambeth. We deliver a range of services focussed in 3 key areas – Community Engagement and Development, Employment, Education and Training and Children, Young People and Family Services. All our work is focused on improving the social and economic welfare of the local community.
We are looking for a highly skilled individual to lead our Employment, Education and Training Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small and dynamic team, developing the charities strategic vision for the growth and development in this area and looking for ways the charity can expand its reach and impact within the local community.
You’ll have solid professional experience that may have been gained in any sector but will allow you to build a strong team, deal with several projects running simultaneously with different parameters, performance indicators and freelance staff and allow you to be responsive to different community needs.
A key aspect of the role is contract monitoring and ideally you’ll have experience of reporting back on performance directly to funders or contract managers, but more important are the underlying skills of attention to detail, ease of working to clearly set targets and the ability to project manage several programmes at once.
You will also have the skills to initiate and develop meaningful partnerships with business, community and educational and employment organisations which will strengthen and broaden our offer and this is a great opportunity for someone who would like the challenge of innovating and developing new models of delivery for this provision.
You may have worked within Adult Education, Training or Employment support services previously, either within a local authority, a Further Education Provider or a Charity but equally you may have developed the skills we’re after in an entirely different setting – High Trees is a charity that values transferable skills developed in a wide variety of settings.
