Community Organiser’s Expansion Programme

The Community Organisers Programme was launched in 2011 and is now in its second phase (the Community Organisers Expansion Programme).  The ultimate aim of the project was for residents to take action together in and across England’s most deprived neighbourhoods for social change – focused on the issues that matter most to them, through a programme of recruiting and training thousands of Community Organisers nationally.

High Trees is one of the 20 Social Action Hubs nationally, and is one of five Social Action Hubs currently delivering the Award in Community Organising at Level 2 & 3.  Community Organisers have been with High Trees since the very start of the programme in 2011, and as part of the Community Organisers Expansion Programme we have trained over 200 people over the past 3 years alone.
