Capacity building

Through our capacity building support we aim to help local groups and VCS organisations strengthen skills, increase collaboration and better meet the needs of their communities.

We offer tailored support based on the individual needs of each group and organisation. Drawing on years of experience, across a number of sectors, our practical approach can help to build organisational capacity in a range of different areas. This can include, but is not limited to, support with writing policies and procedures, impact measurement, community engagement, running community buildings, and more.

Our free capacity building support is provided through High Trees independently, and alongside our partner organisations, Stockwell Partnership, Longfield Hall, Slade Gardens Adventure Playground and We are 336, as part of the Lambeth Community Hubs Network. For larger organisations who don’t qualify for free support, we also offer a paid consultancy service.

To find out which programme is right for you, explore our capacity building opportunities below, or get in touch with us directly.

“The training sessions were a highlight of our four-month programme, providing the Neighbourhood Organisers with practical skills and deeper confidence in group dynamics, decision-making, community engagement, and public narrative. These sessions weren’t just informative they were engaging, thoughtful, and designed for long-term impact.”
