Voluntary and Community Sector Support

Our sector support offer is based on providing free capacity building support for Lambeth based voluntary and community organisations, alongside free to access resources.

At High Trees we believe that contributing to a thriving voluntary and community sector is a core part of our work. We recognise that organisations need to work together to create joined-up and effective responses to the systemic challenges faced by the communities we support. We also recognise the obligations that come with growing into one of the larger organisations in our local area, and the extra capacity this allows us to support others.

Building on our experience across multiple service areas, we are offering support to other voluntary and community sector organisations and local groups within Lambeth. We currently offer support across two specific areas: one-to-one capacity building support and our through our free to download, resources, toolkits and guides. We offer capacity building support both independently and through the Lambeth Community Hubs Network.

Our support

Capacity building support

We provide free capacity building support to voluntary and community organisations, offering help with policies, procedures, practical skills building and more. Our structured support packages build on our and our partner’s expertise, learning and experience.

Our local offer

We offer free training and practical support to small, local groups (such as Tenants and Residents Associations and other informal groups). Our support can include help with building practical skills, writing policies and procedures, learning approaches to community work and more.

Free resources

We have developed a number of resources, tools and guides for voluntary and community sector organisations. So far, these include guides on collaborative working, employment and community organising, alongside a number of editable tools and templates.
