Lambeth Council Art Project

In 2019 we were commissioned to deliver a Section 106 Art project, from a brief from the client we developed a delivery programme overseen by our Community Action manager. The project consisted of recruiting an art consultant, local community connectors, providing training for the community connectors and conducting outreach across a ward. The consultation was written up and shared with the client before moving to the commissioning of an artist.

We worked with our client to ensure that the artwork commissioned was selected by local people. This was achieved by creating a recruitment panel made up of representatives from all TRAs within the locality. These local stake holders were engaged at the start and throughout the process. This local recruitment panel were supported to take all artists through two interview rounds to select the artist who was the best fit for the commission.
