Award in Information Advice and Guidance Level 2
The purpose of the qualification is to provide the learner with an understanding of the role of an Information, Advice and Guidance worker and the skills used in this area. This qualifications gives support to those working as advice or guidance providers to be able to guide those they are supporting to make informed choices.
This Level 2 qualification will run on Tuesday and Thursdays from 10am to 3pm for from the 2nd of February to the 16th of March via group sessions on ZOOM (we are able to accommodate learners who are enrolling at a later date).
This qualification is particularly suitable for those who are:
- Involved in giving advice, information or guidance in any settings (e.g. education, employment support, youth services etc.)
- Front line staff – receptionists, secretaries, learner support workers, mentors
- People working in voluntary organisations
Upon successful completion of the course and the submission of 2 assignments, you will achieve the OCNLR Level 2 Award in Information, Advice or Guidance qualification. This course is funded by Lambeth Adult Learning and open to all London residents aged 19 +, who are unemployed on in recipe of benefits. In line with new government guidelines and COVID 19 regulations, this course will be delivered online via Zoom. Key resources will be accessible via any digital device including smart phone, tablet and PC/laptop. Full support including 1:1s with your tutor will be provided.
The Level 2 Award in Information, Advice or Guidance qualification has been developed for learners working in this field to share good practice and build confidence in their ability to effectively fulfil their role as providers of information, advice and guidance.
