We’re pleased to announce the launch of Active Tulse Hill, a new community-led initiative exploring how we can help more people across Tulse Hill and Lambeth become active in ways that work for them.
As the anchor organisation for Tulse Hill, High Trees will be working alongside London Sport, Black Prince Trust, BIGKID Foundation, Clapham Park Project and Stockwell Partnership to better understand what helps people to be active, what barriers can prevent participation and what more can be done to create opportunities in Lambeth.
At the heart of the project is the belief that local people should have a say in shaping the opportunities available in their neighbourhoods, to live healthier, more active lives. We’ll be listening to residents, community organisations and local partners to understand what being active means to them and what would make it easier for people to take part.
There are several ways for local people to get involved, including:
- Joining the Active Tulse Hill Forum and helping shape the direction of the project.
- Sharing your ideas about what your neighbourhood needs to help people become more active through an upcoming survey.
- Volunteering or becoming a community champion to support local activity.
- Working with us as a community partner to help develop opportunities for local residents.
- Testing and shaping new initiatives to make sure they respond to what people want and need.
By involving the community throughout the project, Active Tulse Hill aims to create opportunities that are accessible, relevant and shaped by the people who live and work locally.
