Introduction to Community Organising

Dec 9, 2020 | Community Action

At the one day ‘Introduction to Community Organising’ training this November, the first in-person one day training since the pandemic began, we were delighted to be joined by people from across Lambeth including local residents, people involved in charities and some looking to form a Neighbourhood Watch in their area.

We had challenging exercises and interesting stories around listening, understanding power and taking action to address common concerns and to overcome social injustice. Community Organising involves reaching out and listening, connecting, and motivating people to build their collective power. If you are looking to do the same, get in touch with us at action@high-trees.org

“It gave me the chance to be amongst people who were engaging with and passionate about working within their communities to inspire change”
