The Caretaker role is an integral part of our Operations Team, reporting directly to the Head of Operations and playing a crucial function in ensuring the efficient day to day operations of the organisation.

You will be a proactive and enthusiastic person who has experience in the key accountabilities stated below. You will be required to provide access to venues, secure the premises, maintain all our outdoor grounds, perform light DIY work and perform general cleaning at all our venues, though the organisation has a cleaner.

You will be responsible for ensuring our venues are kept in the best possible condition, performing stock checks on replenishable items and liaising with external contractors.

The role includes general handyperson duties such as basic repairs and decorating, maintenance, maintenance of our outdoor spaces at all sites, clearing rubbish/leaves, graffiti removal and general maintenance and cleanliness.

You will provide, for those interested in booking with us, viewings of the sites, greeting people in a warm and friendly manner, providing them with all the information required. You will be required to provide access and lock up after both service users and staff have used the space, ensuring that the site has been left in an orderly and tidy manner.

As part of the role, you will be on the “on call list” which, in an emergency, may require you to attend any one of our sites outside of your normal working hours.
