Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week

We are looking for an Employer Engagement Officer who can build real, community based relationships with measurable results for all parties, including employers, referral partners and our beneficiaries, made up of local residents. We are seeking someone who can speak, listen and influence through insight and knowledge of the local employment landscape and beyond. You will be able to affect recruitment strategy among employers. You will be part of a passionate team delivering excellent support to Tulse Hill and Lambeth residents in relation to Employment, Education & Training.

Experienced in Employer Engagement, you will be expected to design your own engagement strategy and carry out local mapping activities. You will provide insights and updates into the local employment landscape which will keep High Trees informed of future and existing opportunities from both an Employment and Business Development perspective. You should also be familiar with Council policy including Section 106 legislation.

Working with the Employment & Careers Team, you will ensure your activities are aligned to the needs of the service and its Beneficiaries. You will be expected to achieve measurable results in terms of employer commitment to work with High Trees on an ongoing basis, as well as raised awareness of our services among local stakeholders resulting in increased referrals to the service and occupancy.

You will also be expected to support in the planning and delivery of employment focused events such as job fairs, information sessions and open days. Much of your work will be field based so you will be capable of self-management, planning your diary and keeping updated with weekly activities. You will also be expected to attend meetings (Local Council, DWP etc.) to identify opportunities whilst building your own networks. This is very much a target based role and as such you should be able to provide demonstrable evidence of working to and achieving targets.
