Post title: Sessional Tutors English Functional Skills
Salary: Salary £30 per hour (termly based) plus £15 per hour for CPD, meeting and admin time
Hours: Minimum of 45 - 55 hours per term for accredited courses and 12 hours for community learning

High Trees are looking for inspirational, committed and creative hourly paid tutors in English Functional Skills. We are especially looking for innovative tutors who are passionate about supporting learners with low confidence to master their English and literacy skills.

The successful applicants will have experience in delivering innovative and engaging teaching and learning and have an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of their subject area/areas. They will also have the ability to use inspiring teaching methods and produce engaging teaching materials for learners from Entry Level to Level 1 English Functional Skills.

The ideal candidates are enthusiastic and passionate about nurturing and helping learners to succeed whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality assurance in teaching and learning. We are looking for dynamic tutors who are excited to sit at the heart of our Education and Training team supporting our learners to succeed and progress into their next steps. The successful applicants will have solid experience in teaching in the Adult Education sector, whether in a community setting or an adult education provider. We welcome teachers who may have recently completed their teacher training and are looking for their first role or those ready for a new adventure. Experience of teaching accredited courses is essential. You will have experience of working with adults who may need encouragement to engage in learning due to their complex life circumstances, barriers to learning or similar. A commitment to continue professional development is essential
