LPAC moves into action

The Lambeth Peer Action Collective (LPAC) are excited to have now completed the research phase of their project, marking a major milestone in their mission to create a safer Lambeth for young people. Their recent research explores the role of trusted adults and safe spaces in protecting young people in Lambeth from exposure to violence.

Made up of young people and youth organisations, LPAC is all about creating better futures for young people in Lambeth, driven by youth-led research and social action. The team has begun by building a menu of actions based on their findings and are kicking things off with an online awareness campaign to showcase their report and key insights.

Alongside this, LPAC also recently held the first of their ‘Talk it Out’ sessions. The workshop brought together young people from across the borough. It created a space to share LPAC’s research findings and gather feedback on upcoming social action plans. They have another exciting ‘Talk it Out’ session coming up soon for youth practitioners.

Finally, LPAC team member Anisa Hassan, was recently shortlisted as a finalist for the Mayor’s Award for Young Citizen of the Year at the Lambeth Civic Awards, for her exceptional contribution to LPAC over the past two and a half years. We are incredibly proud to see Anisa and the whole team be recognised for their dedication to LPAC and creating a safer Lambeth for young people!
