Our current volunteering opportunities are:
Early Years Play Session Volunteer
Our early years sessions offer families with children aged 4 and under a place where they can engage with a broad range of play activities together as well as access to a wide range of support available through LEAP and High Trees.
We are looking for volunteers to support our Early Years project officer to ensure all parents and young people can engage with the play activities on offer and to help ensure there is always a welcome and supportive environment for children and families to play.
– Tuesdays 10am -2pm (plus 15 minutes prep time pre-session)

We are looking for volunteers who are reliable and punctual in attending the sessions, that have good social and communication skills and the ability to motivate young people and engage positively with them. Additional skills such as arts & crafts, cooking etc are very welcome
Youth / Play Session Volunteer
Our Youth and Play Sessions offer young people aged 8 to 16 years a safe and friendly space to socialise, learn and develop. Young people who attend our Youth and Play participate in a range of social and physical activities such as jag tag, table football, arts & crafts, football, play station, cooking, music and socialising.
We are looking for volunteers to support the Youth Project Officers in the general running of the study hub/ youth play session and to provide support to the young people. We are also looking for volunteers with specialist skills to meet some of our programme needs, on Monday 3.30-7pm we are looking for a building project volunteer to help with constructing a treehouse and doing DIY, on Tuesdays between 3.30-7pm we need a sports Project volunteer, Wednesdays 3.30-7pm a Cooking project volunteer and on Thursdays between 3.30-7pm we need a Bike maintenance volunteer.
-A minimum of one session per week for a minimum of one term (3 months), starting in October.
(plus 15 minutes prep time pre-session). Sessions take place on Monday to Thursday 3.30 to 7.00 (you can do a slot between 5-7 for example if you can’t cover the whole session)
-Attending a fortnightly team meeting. This is encouraged, but not essential.

Volunteer Teaching Assistant for Adults
We deliver a range of adult learning courses such as ESOL, ICT and Award in Education and Training for learners aged 19 – 60+.
We are looking for volunteers to support our Tutors in the general running of these courses and to support the adults who attend.
– One sessions per week for a minimum of one term (3 months), starting in September. Sessions take place Monday to Friday, from 10am to 3pm, 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm (plus 15 minutes prep time pre-session).
We are looking for volunteers who are reliable and punctual in attending the sessions, that have good social and communication skills, the ability to motivate and encourage the learners to set their own goals and achieve them.
