Our Community Action team connects High Trees and local communities, through the delivery of training in Community Organising and by providing mentoring and practical support in the approach, this team proactively seeks to help to build power at a local level to enable communities to overcome the injustices they face.
Our Education and Training team provide a variety of courses for adults to improve their education and job and life prospects. Our range of courses include basic skills such as English, Maths and IT and more specialist courses such as Introduction to Community Organising. We also run various accredited courses such as Food and Hygiene. With our varied selection of adult education course, we have something for everyone to improve their skillset.
Our Employment and Welfare advice service aims to improve the economic wellbeing of our beneficiaries by supporting them into meaningful and sustainable employment. We purposefully target our employment support to address employment support gaps in the borough and beyond, with our main priority being groups focused on serving over 50s, lone parents and individuals with health conditions.
The Operations team at High Trees is varied and dynamic, but plays an important role in the general day-to-day running of our services. Comprising Finance, Communications, and Monitoring and Evaluation; the Operations team oversees all our facilities and works hard to ensure each department is well prepared to provide high quality services to our beneficiaries.
