Our local offer

We offer free training and practical support to help local groups develop skills in a number of areas.

Through our local capacity building support programme, we work with Tulse Hill based groups, such as Tenants and Residents Associations and other informal groups, to provide practical training and one-to-one support. Drawing on years of experience working with the local community, our Community Action team can share their expertise, essential skills and strategies.

Free capacity building for local groups

We offer free training and practical support to help local groups build skills and learn approaches to community work that align with their specific vision and goals. Our workshops and support sessions can be delivered at a time that works best for your group
and tailored to your individual needs.

Support can include developing policies, training in different approaches to community action or building practical skills such as inclusive decision making, facilitation, campaign creation, public speaking and more.

St Martins Estate damp campaign

We supported the Tenants and Residents Association (TRA) on St Martin’s Estate to successfully campaign and achieve significant improvements to living conditions for hundreds of people living on the estate.

Tulse Hill Estate Unites

Our Community Action team supported residents on Tulse Hill Estate to form Tulse Hill Estate Unites, an organising group that acts on issues identified by residents.

The Fields Estate TRA

We worked with residents on the Fields Estate to create a new Tenants and Residents Association. Through this they could address the power imbalance caused by the estate being managed by two different housing association.
