Building Young Brixton

Established in 2016, Building Young Brixton is a Lambeth-based partnership project offering a multifaceted youth service to inspire and empower young people aged 7-19 in Brixton, with a particular focus on BAME, Latin American, and Portuguese young people.

The partnership is between 9 charities with over 100 years of collective experience in Lambeth: High Trees Community Development Trust, The Advocacy Academy, The Baytree Centre, Ebony Horse Club, Grove Adventure Playground, Indoamerican Refugee & Migrant Organisation (IRMO), Juvenis, ML Community Enterprise, and Spiral Skills.

Working with over 1600 young people from 2016 to 2018, the partnership secured further funding from the Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund and Lambeth Council to continue for another 3 years from 2019 and to support 2000 young people.
