Community research and action

At High Trees we are committed to supporting members of the local community to explore and address the issues that matter to them.

The voices of community members remain at the heart of everything we do. Through our work in community research and social action, we help residents and local groups better understand the challenges they face and turn these insights into meaningful change.

All research we undertake is grounded in the needs of the local communities and the community-based organisations that serve them. Whether undertaken by ourselves, or as part of one of our partnerships, we believe all research needs to centre community voices and lead to positive change. Our social action emerges, either directly from research findings, or simply from individuals and groups coming together to act on issues that matter to them.

We work with local residents, community organisations, and our partners to lead research projects and social action initiatives across Lambeth. We also provide capacity building support, training and resources, helping local groups to gain the practical skills needed to create positive and long-lasting change.
