Improving the Built Environment

Funded by Trust for London, High Trees’ Community Action team is currently working in Tulse Hill to support residents improve their built environment.  High Trees are currently providing free community organising training to local residents and groups, providing mentoring and support for new and emerging leaders in the community (for any resident interested in growing their group, exploring ways to improve their collective living conditions, or leading a campaign for change, we offer regular 1-2-1 meetings around their schedules) and also providing direct assistance and on the ground support as residents begin to carry out their strategy for change (this includes door-knocking alongside residents to spread their message, providing guidance on facilitating group meetings, holding events, designing campaigns, and communicating with local decision-makers).

High Trees are currently working with residents to tackle widespread damp in their homes and exploring how community wifi could reach those without access.

If you are a Tulse Hill resident with an idea for action that could be taken in your community, and you would like support, please contact our community action team.
