Community Consultation Volunteer

Hours: 4 hours


  • To support the Community Action team in the community consultation for a potential solution to internet access for the digitally excluded 

Main Responsibilities

  • Speak to the residents of Tulse Hill estate by going door-to-door to ask about their status regarding digital inclusion 
  • To fill out the consultation questionnaire for each conversation and assist in aggregating data for monitoring and evaluation 
  • To follow relevant High Trees policies and procedures as outlined in the volunteer handbook and volunteer induction 
  • To inform the Community Action team of any issues brought up in conversation with residents 


  • Attend a two-hour induction and complete the required paperwork and DBS check 
  • Attend at least one of the six full days from 10am to 2pm 

Skills Required

  • Reliable and punctual in attending the sessions 
  • Good social and communication skills 
  • Ability to interact positively with people of a range of different backgrounds 


  • Personal fulfillment through contribution to the community 
  • Hands-on experience in community engagement 
  • Ongoing training opportunities, both internal and external 
  • A reference for future employment and/or training
