Space to Think

Green Spaces

A Space to Think brings together diverse groups of people – social and community activists, Community Organisers, third sector and civil society organisations, people who aren’t part of any formal group, and policy makers at Borough and London-wide levels – to discuss some of the burning topics and concerns that Londoners face.

In July 2019, High Trees supported the Selby Trust to run a Space to Think event focusing on the issue of green spaces.  We worked with the team to help them create and structure the session, using the world café model. The aim was to have a look at the role green spaces play within the local community in Haringey, and the benefits green spaces provide the community. During the meeting, attendees explored the projects local people wanted to run, considered planning and the need to ensure green spaces are protected when regenerating and developing parts of London.
