Our Employment and Careers Support Service is here to support and drive High Trees vision by building confidence, providing advice and empowering people.
We support the individual by providing practical, emotional and personal support to help them achieve their long-term and short-term employment and career goals. Our support includes but is not limited to: enhancing or creating a CV, interview practice, building confidence, breaking down barriers, dealing with changes such as organisational re-structure, changing job within the current company, dressing for an interview, understanding the job market, negotiation skills and applying to jobs.
We understand the barriers the participant faces when trying to enter the job market or move into the next stage of their career.
Our Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service supports the individual to access appropriate training, career advice and employment opportunities.
Our current programmes:
Step Up – for those in employment who are on zero hours contracts or earning less than London Living Wage
Power 50 – for over 50s who are not currently employed or are in low paid employment
