We offer one-to-one support for those who are looking for work. Our advisors are trained to deliver employment support according to individual needs. Our employment support is available to all Lambeth residents who are unemployed.

Job brokerage

Our team of Employment Advisors can help you to identify marketable and transferrable skills, then match them to employer requirements and vacancies across our existing employer network. We also seek out new employers, where we have identified a fit with your career aspirations, and arrange job interviews on your behalf.

Our current targeted programmes

16-24 years old

Our Employment and Careers team offers specialised support for young people aged 16-24 years old who are looking for employment. We provide support for young people navigating the job search and application process for the first time, as well as for those looking to upskill or re-enter employment.

Over 45 years old

We offer one-to-one support to those aged 45 and over, tailoring sessions to suit their individual needs. This includes specialised guidance for individuals wanting to get back into employment. Our employment advisers can provide support with searching for jobs, writing CVs and cover letters, interview preparation and identifying upskilling opportunities.

Tulse Hill Residents

As a place-based charity, we focus on providing employment support for individuals living in Tulse Hill and the surrounding area. All of our employment services are personalised to individual needs and free to access.

Rachel’s journey into employment

Rachel* received employment support from High Trees through our Lambeth 45+ programme. During the 12-week programme our skilled employment advisers helped her build up skills and gain a practical understanding of the job application process.

For Rachel, the impact of this programme went beyond just receiving practical help. The nature of the one-to-one support provided meant advice could be tailored to support her individual needs, personal growth and wellbeing. For Rachel, this meant providing support to reduce feelings of isolation that she had developed as a result of being unemployed.

Since taking part in the programme, she has secured a new job as a Personal Assistant and her confidence has improved dramatically.
