Adult education

At High Trees we run a variety of free courses for adults, including English, Maths, ICT, ESOL, Art, Wellbeing and Vocational courses.

Our offer of accredited and non-accredited courses ranges from basic skills that can help with employment or building skills for everyday life, to specialised courses in community organising, confident speaking, art and wellbeing.

Our provision is delivered across all High Trees venues, this includes the High Trees Hub, the Scout’s Hut and the Tulse Hill Adventure Playground, as well as across multiple other venues in Lambeth, including children’s centres and libraries.

If you are interested in a course that is not on the list or if you are unsure of what course or level suits your needs, our Adult Education and Training team are here to help.

Our wide range of courses runs under different funding and contracts. Click here to view our Fees Policy for courses funded through Lambeth Adult Learning Service (LALS). Our friendly team is always available should you have any queries on fees or course information, including deciding on which course or level is right for you.

If you are an individual seeking sanctuary, you can find our Welcome to Lambeth Guide here, written by our learners in June 2024. Inside, you’ll find practical advice, trusted resources, and personal tips, from finding food banks to registering with a GP, understanding your rights to taking care of your mental health.
