Introduction to Community Organising
On this course, you will explore and develop your understanding of power, which is what drives community organising: what power means and how power can be built in the community to overcome social injustice and create change.
This one-session course will take place on Friday 10am to 5pm at the Tulse Hill Adventure Playground (date to be confirmed). The course also provides a reminder of the basics of community organising which are covered in our Introduction to Community Organising course. Sessions are designed so that everybody can take part and share their ideas and experiences and learn some practical tools and skills.
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
Find out how you can get involved in social action to make a difference in your community
Understand what community organising involves and what it looks like in the real world
Explore how people come together to act on their concerns to build community and overcome social injustice
