Our Functional Skills English courses are designed to help you develop a range of English skills needed for everyday life, work and further study, while also improving your confidence. This course will focus on three development areas: Speaking, Listening and Communicating, Reading and Writing.
During this course you will be able to work on skills like:
- Use the English language to communicate with others
- Presentation skills to tell your story
- Use of English to plan events Manage your well-being
- Write for different purposes
- Provide your own opinions and ask questions indiscussions
- Use English to help you manage your money and bills better
- Use techniques in writing cover letters and job applications
Our friendly team will help check your current level of English and figure out which course is right for you.
Upon successful completion, you will gain the NCFE Entry level Functional Skills Qualification in English. By the end of this course, you will be able to demonstrate the ability, at an appropriate level, to read, write speak, listen and communicate in English and you will also be able to apply this knowledge and these skills within specific situations.
