We’re delighted to announce that High Trees has been awarded funding through the Mayor of London’s Green Roots Fund, supporting the next phase of the transformation for Tulse Hill Adventure Playground.
The funding will enable High Trees to create new green spaces and significantly enhance biodiversity across the site, helping to bring nature closer to the local community while creating an inspiring outdoor environment for children, young people and residents.
Planned improvements include the creation of a wildflower meadow, a pond and wetland habitat, wildlife homes, and the planting of native trees and plants. Together, these features will provide valuable habitats for local wildlife while making the playground a greener, more resilient community space.
The project is designed to do more than enhance the natural environment. The new spaces will provide opportunities for nature-based learning, outdoor play and wellbeing activities, supporting both mental and physical health for people of all ages. By connecting the community with nature, the project will also encourage environmental awareness and help foster a greater appreciation of local biodiversity.
This investment marks another important milestone in the ongoing redevelopment of Tulse Hill Adventure Playground, reflecting our commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where communities can thrive.
We look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses and to welcoming the community to enjoy these new green spaces in the months ahead.
