New Community Research Grant Programme launches in Lambeth

The Lambeth Community Research Network (LCRN) has just launched an exciting new Community Research Grant Programme, providing grants, training and one-to-one capacity building for Lambeth organisations wanting to get started with community research.

LCRN is a network, led and managed by High Trees, made up of locally rooted organisations with an interest and expertise in community-based research.

By providing funding and support for community organisations to carry out their own research, the network recognises the valuable knowledge and expertise that already exists within Lambeth’s communities. Community organisations are often uniquely placed to understand the challenges facing local residents. Through this programme, they can turn that insight into research, gathering evidence and amplifying the voices of people who may not always be represented in traditional research.

The programme also reflects the wider approach of the Lambeth Community Research Network, which brings together voluntary, community and public sector organisations to strengthen the role of community research in shaping local services, policy and decision-making.

The new grant programme will give successful organisations the opportunity to fund research projects around issues that are important to their communities, while building their skills and confidence in carrying out research.

At High Trees, we’re proud to be part of work that strengthens the capacity of Lambeth’s voluntary and community sector and supports communities to create change through research.
