At High Trees we run a variety of wellbeing courses for adults throughout the year. Last term these included Yoga for Mindfulness, The Art of Confident Speaking, Introduction to Stress Management and Mindful Mosaic Making.
We're pleased to announce that the Lambeth Community Research Network website is now live! This is an exciting next step for the network, making it easier to share our vision for research in Lambeth, research projects and opportunities to get involved.
Over the past few months, we’ve been exploring different perspectives on ethics in community research, by facilitating ethics workshops with young people and migrant communities in Lambeth.
This month we have launched a brand-new health and wellbeing grants scheme for Tulse Hill organisations who deliver services to local residents.
High Trees has launched an exciting new youth employment programme! The BuildYourFuture programme will focus on delivering free and person-centred employment support for young people (aged between 16 and 24) living in Lambeth or Southwark.
We're hosting our very first Lambeth Charity Networking Event on Thursday 9th May between 4pm – 6pm at the High Trees Hub (220 Upper Tulse Hill, SW2 2NS).
In March we had our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Spring Wellbeing event. This was an exciting opportunity for 20 learners on our ESOL courses to come together and learn about health and wellbeing activities on offer in Lambeth.
January marked an exciting milestone for the Building Young Brixton (BYB) partnership as it welcomed a new cohort of peer mentors. This is a 12-month paid opportunity for young people who want to make a difference in their community, are great listeners and who want to support other young people on their learning journey.
