We're hosting our very first Lambeth Charity Networking Event on Thursday 9th May between 4pm – 6pm at the High Trees Hub (220 Upper Tulse Hill, SW2 2NS).
January marked an exciting milestone for the Building Young Brixton (BYB) partnership as it welcomed a new cohort of peer mentors. This is a 12-month paid opportunity for young people who want to make a difference in their community, are great listeners and who want to support other young people on their learning journey.
The Lambeth Community Hubs Network aims to strengthen the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS), with a vision to create a more equal, inclusive and thriving Lambeth. Over the past three months, Lambeth Hubs has been providing bespoke mentoring to five local VCS organisations.
Our Building Young Brixton Young Leaders had a busy residential weekend full of team-building activities, designed to challenge and inspire them.
Last week, 16 individuals representing diverse groups and neighbourhoods from across Lambeth accessed our community organising training for the first time.
We’re pleased to announce that our Employment and Careers team have been re-awarded the Matrix Standard 3-year accreditation, an international standard for information, advice and guidance services.
The Building Young Brixton Partnership launched a new capacity building support offer for local youth organisations in Lambeth. We are pleased to say that five local organisations have already benefitted from the scheme.
In September 2023 High Trees introduced an exciting new addition to our adult education offer – an accredited Digital Skills for Work course.
